CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Level 1 : For new and continuing students. Beginners welcome.

Level 1-2/Gentle : For students who want to move more slowly or who have physical limitations and/or injuries. Beginners welcome. This class incorporates elements of LifeForce Yoga.

Level 1-2 : For students with previous yoga experience, refine and strengthen fundamental poses. Inversions, backbends and beginning arm balances introduced. [Beginning students are welcome in the Monday 4pm class.]

LifeForce Yoga®

LifeForce Yoga® is an evidence-based protocol that interweaves the power of an ancient discipline with current scientific findings.

Level 2 : For more experienced students of yoga. To deepen and strengthen all poses. More advanced backbends, inversions and arm balances.

All Levels : Mixed class appropriate for all students with at least some yoga experience.

Tanta/Ayurveda Mini-Retreat: Explore yoga in more depth in these mini-retreats. Each morning includes introduction of a theme and a short talk/discussion period in which we will explore the topic from both the tantric and ayurvedic perspectives, asana (for ALL LEVELS), pranayama and yoga nidra/meditation. Designed to explore how yoga can support and enhance your life “off the mat.” No prior yoga experience necessary.

Women's Moon Yoga (Chandra Yoga Sadhana): We gather on a weekend day closest to the New/Full Moon to attune ourselves to the rhythms and intelligence of nature, the Goddess. Women's wisdom, energy, intuition is so deeply need at this time in the world. We gather to activate our own deepest visions that they may manifest. Each gathering includes asana, pranayama, meditation, sharing in council circle and wisdom study. No prior experience necessary. All w omen welcome!

Meditation: Following the Path of Bliss: for novice and experienced meditators. [More info] Come taste the bliss!

Body Sensing : A guided meditative movement practice based in hatha yoga, helps to cultivate deep sensitivity to the body and awareness of the interaction between mind and body; a powerful complement to yoga nidra.

Yoga Nidra : A profoundly transformative practice of deep relaxation leading to lasting psychological, physical and spiritual healing. It accomplishes this through two parallel approaches: the release of long-held negatives beliefts that give rise to self-destructive patterns, and direct pointing to the realization of one's true nature through self-inquiry. PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Private lessons are available for one or two students. Private lessons are recommended for those with injury or other specific therapeutic issues.
Fee: $100/75 minutes
